Attractive Four-Piece French
Attractive Four-Piece French Partial Cabaret a Deux Service, fourth quarter 19th century, in the Louis XVI Sevres style, the set comprised of an ovoid two-handled tray, w. 18-1/4", d. 13-1/2", a coffeepot, h. 7", a sparrow-beak cream pitcher, h. 4", and an open two-handled sugar basin, h. 3-1/2", all with richly gilded bleu du Roi grounds, the tray centered with a large galants reserve, as is one facade on each of the other components, the opposing facades with oval floral reserves, each piece with a pseudo-Sevres overglaze blue mark of interlaces "L's" centered by the letter "A" (1753) surmounting an "S", the coffee cups and saucers lacking.
