EDWARD VII SILVER BOARS HEAD PRESENTATION GAVEL AND A SILVER-MOUNTED PRESENTATION SHIELDThe gavel probably marked for London, 1902; inscribed 'Presented to the R.M.S. "Cochbane" Ward Room of Officers'. The shield mark of Alfred Horatio Darby, Birmingham, 1905; embossed 'Too Good Championship Shield'.
The gavel 6 1/4 in. long (weighted), the shield 6 3/4 in. high.
Condition
Each with wear consistent with use. The gavel with wear and nicks consistent with use. The shield with some bruises, remnants of silver polish and losses to the velvet backing. The hinge support is lacking with associated losses to the leather backing. Otherwise in good condition.Not withstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.
