SHIP'S CLOCK, HERSCHEDE CINCINNATIMariners/ships clock, made by Herschede of Cincinnati. 7" diameter, brass, with "7 jewels" and "Made in Germany" stamped on face. Dial numbered in both 12 and 24 hour segments. Runs when wound, no key included. Very fine condition, no apparent dents or damage.

U.S.Navy Ships Clock U.S.Navy E.Howard & Co. Boston U.S.A. ships clock (time-only)-cast bronze circa 1940. Edward Howard (1813-1904) apprenticed to Arron Willard Jr. at an early age. He was a mechanical genius and received the best training from Willard. In 1842 he made clocks in a small factory at Roxbury Connecticut; the name was Howard and Davis. In 1854 he made watches under the name of Dennison Howard and Davis. The Howard Watch Company later became the Waltham Watch Company.
