Good Seven-Piece Antebellum Silverplate Coffee and Tea Service, 1857-1862, by Rogers, Smith & Co., and Rogers Brothers Mfg. Co., Hartford, Connecticut, including two coffeepots, h. 13", a teapot, h. 12", a hot water urn, h. 18-1/2", a cream jug, h. 9-1/2", a sugar bowl, h. 8-1/2", and a waste bowl, h. 5-1/2", each with an ovoid body decorated with broad guilloche banding centering on an acanthus-framed cartouche, with arched acanthus-scroll handle(s) and domed foot, decorated with annulated banding at the foot, neck and rim, the domed lid with acanthus toupie finial, monogrammed, on the cartouche, "SCH", conjoined.
