The candelabrum with center standard and flame finial, flanked by 2 arms or branches, gadrooned edges and acanthus leaves throughout. Double sunburst hallmarks to lower edge of the base. Includes two (2) etched glass hurricane shades. Candelabrum: 18 1/4" H x 18 1/2" W. Shades: 8 1/2" H x 5 1/2" dia. 2nd-5th items: Two (2) pairs Old Sheffield silverplated candlesticks, including one (1) pair of lobed form with engraved sunburst pattern throughout; and one (1) of square form with shell corners. Stamped P and 65 or 66 to bases. 9 1/4" H x 4 1/2" W to 12" H x 6 1/8" W. English, late 18th to early 19th century. 6th item: Webster Company 20th century sterling silver porringer, having a scrolling foliate border to rim and a pierced handle. Inscribed with script "Linda Ann" to handle. Maker's mark, Sterling, and numerals stamped to underside of handle. 1 1/5" H x 6 3/4" W. 7th item: Sterling silver miniature novelty Dutch clog or klomp. Stamped "Sterling" to underside of heel. 1 1/8" H x 3 1/8" W. 8th item: Alessandria, Italy .800 silver sugar bowl, lobed form with double C-scroll handles. Italy, .800, and additional hallmarks stamped to underside of base. 3 5/8" H x 5 1/2" W. Combined sterling silver weight: 3.320 total troy ounces. .800 silver weight: 5.345 total troy ounces.

A PAIR OF ANTIQUE ENGLISH ELKINGTON ELECTROPLATED CANDL...A PAIR OF ANTIQUE ENGLISH ELKINGTON ELECTROPLATED CANDLESTICKS, MARKED, BIRMINGHAM, 1849-1864, each with a removable guilloché detailed bobèche fitting an urn form nozzle with beaded swags decoration and enclosing an interior well stamped "2788" beneath an "X" mark, on a shaped hexagonal stem with long rows of graduated beading ending above a gadrooned and repeating bead with guilloché embellished socle, over a conforming base with scrolling foliate repoussé and concave panels alternating Egyptian style masks above double bands of stylized seed trim and stepped base, hallmarked on base edge with a crowned "E&Co," "E," "M," "&Co," and a lozenge "S" or a lozenge "U." Height: 10 3/4" Diameter: 5 3/8" Note: These candlesticks, unusual with their use of the Egyptian Revival style masks, might possibly have been designed by Benjamin Schlick (Danish 1796-1872) working for Elkington and one of the earliest well-known designers as well as an amateur archaeologist during the 1840s. Provenance: Lifelong Collection of Clocks and Antiques, Navasota, Texas.
Condition:
Each in good condition for silverplated candlesticks of this age and use including but not limited to normal tarnished areas, dings, some silver plating is thinning with worn details in areas from handling.
