Fancy checkered wood buttstock beavertail forearm. See Brophy (1991: 116). Condition: Barrels retaining ca 95% blue finish with some thinning at the breech end ca 40% original case coloring thinning to a silvery grey. Bores are in excellent condition. Buttstock has a .25'' solid crack at the left side of the lower tang. Buttstock and forearm are excellent.

  PERCUSSION LOCK SINGLE-BARREL SHOTGUN, 20 BORE A single barrel, percussion lock shotgun of unknown manufacture. The firearm sports a long octagonal to round barrel mounted in a simple wood stock with straight hand grip and engraved lockplate. The lockplate features floral engravings along with an image of two pheasants behind the hammer as well as the manufacturers name which is almost entirely worn off. The shotgun is in overall poor condition as the barrel lug has broken off in the stock with only the rear tang keeping it mounted in the furniture and there is pitting and surface rust throughout. The ram rod is also missing.

The buttstock is a replacement and the original forearm is cracked on the bottom where it meets the forearm iron. The triggerguard is a replacement and is numbered 2339957. The receiver has all of the original case colors which are thin and fading. The barrel retains ca 98% original blue finish.

The barrels show most of their Damascus pattern with a mixture of original blue brown patina and gun metal gray. The receiver has an added cold blue finish with good case colors on the water table and protected areas. The stocks rate very good to near excellent as refinished and the wood to metal fit is excellent.

The shotgun features two round barrels with full length vent rib with dual bead sights and octagon chambers. The barrels are mounted to a brushed metal finish receiver engraved with the emblem and logo of the company. The walnut furniture features fine hand checkering at the grips with an inlaid bronze medallion of a snipe in flight on the front handguard. Barrels have fixed chokes with the top barrel marked 'SKEET 2' and the bottom 'SKEET 1.' The shotgun is in overall excellent condition with some damage to the factory recoil pad.
