  SET OF 5 CHINESE CANTON ENAMEL PLATES & JAR,19TH C This five piece metal set features three small dishes, one candle holder and one small bowl. - Metal candle holder. A small metal candle holder done in the french cloisonne design. It has the silhouette of a leek with its center indented to hold a candle. Its top has an illustration of a fish which sits against a red, white and green gradient. Its underside has a blue floral design and a white swirling pattern. D: 6 X 0.3 in (15.2 X 0.8 cm) Condition: The underside of the dish is damaged and has several indentations. - This small white metal dish has fluted corners, a flat metal rim and a thin metal foot. Its interior well features a painted illustration of flowers and butterflies, its underside is colored a speckled green. D: 3.4 X 0.6 in (8.6 X 1.5 cm) Condition: There are small hairline fractures to the interior well. The underside has chipped enamel, the foot is slightly bent. - A small oval serving dish. This small serving dish is done in the closionne style and has a scalloped rim. Its interior well is painted yellow and has a pink, blue and green floral decoration. Its underside is colored teal. D: 5.2 X 0.7 in (13.2 X 1.6 cm) Condition: Damage to the rim in which a segment of the enamel has been removed. hairline fractures seen beginning at the rim and bleeding into the well. The underside of the rim is missing a segment of enamel. - A small square serving dish with scalloped corners. This small serving plate has an interior well has an illustration of a pink flower accompanied by two budding flowers and an insect. The interior rim has a blue pattern set against a white ground. The rim is flat exposed metal. The underside is white with a similar blue pattern repeated on each side. It¡¯s foot is made of thin flat exposed metal. D: 3.8 X 0.5 in (9.6 X 1.3 cm) Condition: Hairline fractures can be seen on the surface of the enamel. These fractures are seen on the interior rim, well and the underside and exterior rim. - A small cloisonne jar. This small jar has its exterior predominately decorated with a flower pattern which features two green and red birds against a yellow ground. It¡¯s rim is flat and made of exposed metal. It¡¯s interior is painted a dark green and it¡¯s underside is made of polished metal. D: 2.5 X 2 (6.3 X 5.2 cm) Condition: There is a small engraving made to the underside of the jar. Small indent accompanied with discoloring to the yellow enamel can bee seen on the exterior.
