  Smith & Wesson No. 1 Second Model .22 short cal. 3.25'' barrel S/N 79688. Silver-plated frame blue barrel rosewood grips. Condition: Good condition with a very good but lightly pitted bore. It retains ca 70% original silver finish while the rest of the gun has a brown patina. It has a weak locking spring and the cylinder does not lock up properly. The barrel is a little loose and the screws are all buggered up.

Martin.'' Research has identified a Daniel T. Martin who served in the 5th Kansas Cavalry. Retains about 25% original blue and about 80-90% original plating action smooth bore with slight pitting. The name was engraved on the back strap after production so the plating was disturbed during the engraving.
