Currier and Ives was founded by Nathaniel Currier (American, 1813-1888) in 1835 as "the Grand Central Depot for Cheap and Popular Prints," but changed its name with the addition of James Merritt Ives (American, 1824-1895) in 1857. The company created over 7000 popular lithographs depicting American life until 1907.

Copyright dates on prints are 1895. Originally there were 12 prints in this set when it was first issued. The six that are present include Autumn Grouse Bay Snipe Shooting Ducks from a Battery Shooting Ducks from a Blind Rabbit Shooting and Autumn Woodcock. Complete with front and back covers. Condition: Autumn Woodcock print has a 1" fragment missing in bottom left margin. Else very good. Front and back covers are detached.

BERETTA 'SILVER SNIPE' O/U SHOTGUN,
BERETTA 'SILVER SNIPE' O/U SHOTGUN, 12 GA A wonderful skeet shotgun made by Pietro Beretta in the mid-1960s. The shotgun features two round barrels with full length vent rib with dual bead sights and octagon chambers. The barrels are mounted to a brushed metal finish receiver engraved with the emblem and logo of the company. The walnut furniture features fine hand checkering at the grips with an inlaid bronze medallion of a snipe in flight on the front handguard. Barrels have fixed chokes with the top barrel marked 'SKEET 2' and the bottom 'SKEET 1.' The shotgun is in overall excellent condition with some damage to the factory recoil pad.
