SOUTHERN CALENDAR CLOCK CO. FASHION CLOCK, C. 1880 Seth Thomas Clock Co. (American 1853), for the Southern Calendar Clock Co. (American 1875-1899), Fashion shelf clock, last quarter 19th century, having a parcel gilt walnut case, curved cornice with three finials, supported by turned columns, the glass door with "Fashion" in gilt lettering, eight day movement, dial with Roman numerals and patent date of December 18. 1875 and inset seconds dial with patent date of April 16, 1878, and date aperture with Arabic numerals, perpetual day and month rolls, and patent date March 18, 1879, marked to the dials and paper label to the interior of case. Provenance: From the Collection of Bruce Cusmano, Metropolitan Artifacts, Atlanta, Georgia. Approximate dimensions: h. 32", w. 16", d. 5. 5".

SOUTHERN WALNUT TALL CASE CLOCK Probably North Carolina, early 19th century, yellow pine secondary, metal painted face with second hand and date dial, with painted moon dial, dovetailed hood with broken arch pediment and applied carved plinth with urn finial, fully turned columns, hinged glass door and side panels, waist with upper cove molding, hinged waist door with shaped top and lipped edge, chamfered corners, straight feet, with scalloped skirt, and half moon ends, two weights, and pendulum.

SOUTHERN CHERRY TALL CASE CLOCK, POSS. KYCherry Tall Case Clock with Southern case, possibly Kentucky. Cherry primary, poplar secondary woods. Bonnet with broken arch pediment and brass finials, painted arched dial with spandrels having fleur de lis motif and setting moon; brass 8-day works. Fluted quarter columns, line inlay on bonnet pediment, paneled door, and base. Base with bracket feet, underside signed in black script (illegible). 94" H (to tip of brass finial) x 18 1/4" W x 10 1/2" D. Early 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Bertha Cochran Wright, ex-Calumet Farm, Lexington, KY.
Condition:
Older refinish, bonnet with restoration and replacements, second hand missing, inlay lifting and missing in some areas, saddleboard possibly moved, modifcations of original brass works. Clock repair records on inside waist door.

Hopkins, Litchfield" (Asa Hopkins, Litchfield, Connecticut, circa 1810-1820), poplar case with tombstone door, dial Connecticut, case probably Eastern Tennessee or Southwestern Virginia, 19th century, 82 x 19 x 11 in. Period pendulum and weight present, sounding bell broken but present, case refinished with some sun fading, works probably original (case uprights extended 1 in.), hood door lacking glass, interior and back with later paint, dial surround with break and loss.
