wear to extremities, paper corrosion throughout due to ink, many pages with separations along ink line borders (many reinforced), some tears and small losses to paper, light staining throughout, paintings with heavy flaking and losses, binding popped but intact, some losses and fraying to edges

AN EARLY TEXAS EMPRESARIO LAND SCRIP FOR THE DE ZAVALA,...AN EARLY TEXAS EMPRESARIO LAND SCRIP FOR THE DE ZAVALA, VEHLEIN AND BURNET GRANTS, NEW YORK, OCTOBER 16TH, 1830, engraving on paper with hand inscribed signatures, Francisco de Zavala on the verso, for whom this grant was given to, and on the recto three legal representatives of the Galveston Bay & Texas Land Company," Amos Bell, O.H. Sumner and George Curtis, the document granting "One Labor containing 177 and .316/1000 English Acres," no. 11301, with lower inset view of the Gulf of Mexico, the shaded area of lands aforementioned herein comprising the geographical boundaries issued to Lorenzo de Zavala in 1829, Joseph Vehlein in 1826 and 1828, and David G. Burnet in 1826, "...Empresarios for Colonizing the same according to the terms of the said grants and the laws of the United States of Mexico and the State of Coahuila and Texas, which said tracts are now united in one common interest, and placed under the direction and management of the Subscribers as the Attorneys and Trustees of the said Empresarios...," E.S.
