Original porcelain knobs, clean condition with minor chip on one drawer. Nova Scotia, 1860-75. H: 21"; W/L: 18"; D/P: 8". FRANCAIS: Commode à épices à huit tiroirs, vernis ancien, base chantournée, côtés à panneaux soulevés. Plateau et panneau arrière mouluré. Generally good condition, hinges replaced with some associated patches, lock replaced with some associated losses, chip and loss to top corner of door, one rear foot facing with crack and repair, old finish with some sun fading, normal cracks, minor wear and abrasions. Purchased in Petersburg, Virginia; Deaccessioned from MESDA and Old Salem to benefit the Acquisition Fund.

FRANCAIS: Commode à épices en pin, six tiroirs, base à console, peinture d’origine ocre et vert foncé, motif de pli de serviette peint à fines rayures sur les côtés et les tiroirs.
