Dark grey-blue patina on barrel stock has some dings. Lettering is slightly faded though quite legible. A nice clean gun.

Stock has dings scratches and discoloration which is consistent with age. Bore shows light rust. Hammer lock and trigger mechanism are strong. Parts look original.

US Model 1873 at breech square 1888 cartouch on left side of stock tiny x stamped in wood below lower tang followed by P in circlr cartouch. US on buttplate is hard to read due to light stamp. Lockplate shows Eagle and US Springfield. Wood shows few dings. Overall condition is excellant.

Barrel band letters and barrel stamps also faded.
