The imposing bearded figure of Saint Mark, the Apostle and Evangelist dressed in pink and blue classical attire, the fabric folds clearly defined with gilt, he sits in a gilded chair writing a Gospel, a winged horse in the upper left. Measuring 17 by 13 in. (Cond: good overall, bright, some wear to gilt, losses to upper and lower edge) Provenance: From a South Florida Private Collection.

IMPERIAL RUSSIAN ORDER OF ST. STANISLAS Late 19th - early 20th century, the gold frame tests 14k and has double-headed eagles set between red enamel rays on the face, both sides of the medal carry porcelain roundels, each hosting a hand-painted "S," the back is punched with an imperial eagle on the top ray and the initials "WK" on the bottom ray.
