The central figure of Saint Peter, Metropolitan of Kiev and all Russia, flanked by Saint Martyrs Aquilina and Irina, Saint Peter the Apostle and Saint Nicholas the Pious, Prince of Chernigov. Christ Almighty depicted sending the blessings from above. With ornate gilt wooden frame inside a kiot with a hinged cover. Oil and egg tempera, gold leaf and gesso on wood panel. One insert splint on the back. Icon: 35.7 x 26 cm (14 1/8 x 10 1/4 in.); overall with kiot: 52 x 43 cm (20 1/2 x 16 7/8 in.)
