17th century German crucifix, figure of Christ on the cross with sign Enri , carved, gilt and polychromed wood, German School, 17th century, 26-7/8 x 10-5/8 x 3-5/8 in. Replaced cross, resurfaced base, repairs to figure including some retouch and reglued proper right arm, crackle and flaking on polychrome surface, wear to gilding. Said to have come from a bombed-out church in Munich, Germany, during World War II.
