[NOTE FROM PIANO EVALUATION BY CONSULTANT: The Steinway Model B is a consistent favorite of many professional musicians. The larger size allows for a beautiful range of tone, yet it doesn't take up the room a large Model D would. This makes them very well suited for use as high-level practice instruments. A number of small and medium-sized professional venues continue to utilize Model B Grands as their primary performance pianos as well. 1984 Steinway B Models sell anywhere from$20,000 to $60,000 depending on condition, sound and playability as well as market location. New this piano now sells for $100,000. This Steinway for it's age is in like new condition. Both the physical appearance and musical instrument quality are great. Very little case wear exists and the satin black finish looks fresh. Close inspection of the piano show a sound board and bridges which have no cracks. In addition positive down bearing exists with good even and strong tone. The strings have no rust or other discoloration in the wound bass strings. The action shows very little play wear.
