Wooden Stereoscope and a CollectionWooden Stereoscope and a Collection of Stereoscopic Cards, first quarter 20th century, the wooden stereoscope, l. 13", with a large collection of stereoscopic cards, featuring, among others, views of Europe during World War I with artillery, personnel and scenes of the front lines by the Keystone View Co., ancient views by H. C. White Co., views of Panama and Sicily by the Stereo Travel Co., figural scenes (some hand-tinted) by Benjamin W. Kilburn, two "Popular Series" scenes with children and a view of Nicollet Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota with electric lights, probably by E. and H. T. Anthony, "Buffalo Bill's Body Guard, "Court of the Palace Hotel, San Francisco, Cal." and "Elevated R. R. 110th St., N.Y.1." by Strohmeyer & Wyman, a young girl asleep with her cat in a lace-draped bed by Berry, Kelly & Chadwick, a tropical forest view by K. V. Co., and an unmarked chromolithograph card depicting a "Naval Review, Hampton Roads", each card, 3-1/2" x 7".
