Imi Knoebel is a leading Post-War German artist whose colorfully abstract acrylics on aluminum, wood, and plastic supports have helped shape contemporary Minimalist art. Knoebel first created the Kinderstern engraving on paper and acrylic on wood construction editions in 1988 and 1989 respectively, with 100% of sale proceeds going to charity. Since, Kinderstern is responsible for over €4m in charitable donations for children in need.
