A Steuben Glass Lamp and Shade
A Steuben Glass Lamp and Shade The yellow acid cut glass vase-form body of the lamp sits on a high pierced gilt bronze base with a switch at the side. Above the vase is a decorative gilt metal stem, four electric sockets with pull chains, and a sculptural floral finial. It measures approx. 18-1/2"H to the top of the cap and 37-1/2"H to the top of the finial. The lampsade is formed in a cream color pleated silk with rows of French gimp at the top and bottom edges and silk cording fashioned into decorative pendents around the sides creating a lacy silhouette. The glass body of the lamp is relief cast in a mottled matte finish with images of leaves around the bottom, waves, and trees with birds in flight above.
