The tomahawk head has clear blacksmith hand forged iron with a tall bowl and rear flaring blade. The blade shows two cutouts, a crescent moon and five-point star, both nice later additions. The tomahawk head is paired with a contemporary hardwood handle with late brass covered brass tacks. The end shows a poured pewter cap with engraving. A nice older head with some later Reservation additions. The head is definitely more crudely made, likely a less skilled blacksmith, possibly an Indian Blacksmith with an older age.
