Cylindrical shape with flat rim, flanked by molded handles, three incised lines below, decorated in blue at one side with a feather above "3", flanked by leaves. With a wood cover. Several fine cracks about the base and side; chip to the rim and rough edges on handles. Wear to the wood cover. 13 3/4" high overall. ESTIMATE $200-300

Salt-glazed stoneware churn, ovoid with two lug handles, downturned rim, three gallons, unmarked, American, 19th century, 16 in., with wooden dasher. Rim with 1 in. chip, otherwise good condition, repaired lid probably associated, dasher with pest damage. Deaccessioned from MESDA and Old Salem to benefit the Acquisition Fund.
