The piece has numerous losses to the foil transfer floral decoration and to the black paint. There are signs on the piece that at some point someone may have tried to clean it - this appears as wipe strokes both horizontally and vertically. The entire sign is backed with a sheet of cardboard and then the piece if housed in a frame with a slatted wood backing.
