Sign reads ''We sell only first class goods guaranteed pure and wholesome and the purchase money will be refunded in any case where consumers have cause for dissatisfaction. We advocate honest quantity and best quality. / Wm Weiss & Co.'' Painted glass with foil. In a frame 36'' w. 28'' h. The piece has numerous losses to the foil transfer floral decoration and to the black paint. There are signs on the piece that at some point someone may have tried to clean it - this appears as wipe strokes both horizontally and vertically. The entire sign is backed with a sheet of cardboard and then the piece if housed in a frame with a slatted wood backing.
