Including 1 copper toy steamer, hinged door with porcelain knob and applied brass plaque reading "Creuzan & Soulard" of Bordeaux, opening to a removable pierced shelf, raised on four tall iron legs. Together with 1 brass and tin toy stove, three hinged doors at the front, the top fitted with five copper covered pots, four additional pieces hang from the corners, and a ladle within. No apparent markings. Minor wear and oxidation. Steamer's patina is turning green in some areas. The stove's stack is missing its top; two holes at the front, possibly for missing hooks; the four hooks are replacements; tin mug's handle has been soldered. 15" and 12" high overall. ESTIMATE $200-300

LILAC CHROME PLATED SALESMAN'S SAMPLE RANGE STOVE, BELLEVILLE ILLINOIS, PATENTED FEBRUARY 28, 1929, the Art Deco period state of the art miniature range cooking top and personal heating stove with mirror chrome plated iron mounts and enameled in a pale purple and black; an upper shelf with rolling pin storage on brackets with lilac back splash rests over the six burner top fitted for the a whimsical cookie press on stand; the cookie press producing a central star encircled by intaglio figures of a large bellied man, a princess, a clown, an umbrella carrier, a man with cane, a walking man, a grape bunch and matronly figure, flanked right by the vent lever, all above a fall front coal box marked, "KARR RANGE CO BELLEVILLE, ILL.," over a coal stirring mechanism accompanied by original attaching hand crank, emptying into the coal scuttle drawer, at right an oven door opening to a single oven rack, the cabriole legs marked with the letter "K" encircled twice, accompanied by two milk bottle openers, "Roland Oak Stoves-Ranges Heating Systems," marked verso, "W. & H. Newark, N.J." Height 21 1/4" Width 13" Depth 8 1/2" Note: Edward Karr of Belleville Illinois filed for his patent as early as January 9, 1928, ultimately awarded his patent almost a year later February 26, 1929. This example dating sometime after this single patent and retailed in the 1930's to have modern upgrades, a logo on the knees, rearranged doors for proper ventilation and radiating heating including the unusual and appealing color selection. A copy of the patent on file.

Glass pane windows. Furniture is in played-with and aged condition, some missing feet, discoloration. 63" overall height, plinth is 12" high. Overall width is 38", overall depth is 34 1/2".
