  FOUR VINTAGE STERLING POWDER COMPACTS Four vintage sterling powder compacts, circa 1940, all of circular form, comprising, two large examples with geometrically engraved cases, opening to mirrors, one retaining a mesh screen and puff, dia. 4"; together with a Mexican example having an Aztec style engraved disk, opening to a mirror, a mesh, and a puff, dia. 3.5"; and a guilloche enamel example with engine turning, cobalt enamel, and a gilt wash interior, dia. 2.5"; all marked Sterling, having no apparent maker's marks.
