7” PAPIER-MÂCHÉ SANTA FIGURE. A papier-mâché lower body with painted blue trousers and black boots is affixed to a torso covered by red felt with a black belt. Holding a tree in one hand, he is looking through his rabbit beard (replaced). CONDITION: Overall condition is very fine, hands possibly repaired/repainted. JL 1-2117
SPODE STONE CHINA TEAWARES, English, ca 1833. Eight pieces, seven in pattern #2117, decorated in polychrome enamels enhanced by gilding. Includes a covered potpourri, a creamer, a child's mug, and three each plates and saucers. And a shell dish in #3716, the "Tumbledown Dick" pattern. Largest plate is 9.5" diameter.

2117 - Von Gegerfelt, "Winter Evening in Sweden", O/C
Wilhelm Von Gegerfelt (Swedish 1844-1920), "Winter Evening in Sweden", oil on canvas, signed lower right, dated 1879 and labeled, in the original gold leaf gesso frame, this artist was one of the group of Swedish School plein-air painters of the later 19th century that travelled to Paris, 49 1/2" x 69 1/4". Provenance: From the Edward Darley Boit family of Brookline, MA, thence to the present owner of the 27 Colchester Street Brookline house, this painting hung over Mr. Boit's fireplace in his library.

Gothic type. 4to, 218x132 mm, modern 1/4 calf over contemporary wooden boards, modern endpapers, lacking catch and clasp; marginal dampstaining through much of volume, occasionally severe with paper corrosion along edges or traces of mold, conspicuous worming in upper and lower margins not affecting text.
