Rectangular form with hinged top having half round molding, well with interior divider, tall turned legs with turnip tapered feet. 32 3/4" W x 27 3/4" H x 18 1/2" D. Probably Kentucky, Circa 1825.
Condition:
Older refinished surface, retains the original lock. Back left leg with repair to stile and reinforced bracing strip running the width of the chest. Old rear left turned leg may be a replacement since ring turnings slightly vary from the other turned legs. Older replaced strip to backside of the top (1/4" W) and back of the case (1 1/4"W) where hinges previously broke out.

KY SUGAR CHEST, MINIATURE SIDEBOARD FORMKentucky sugar chest, miniature sideboard form, cherry primary with figured cherry drawer fronts, poplar and walnut secondary. Upper section of case with three shallow drawers, the center drawer flanked by two smaller candle drawers. Upper right candle drawer with interior sliding drawer. Lower drawer with faux dividers, all drawers dovetailed with cockbeading. Interior of lower drawer has been fitted as a humidor with a hinged lid opening to a copper lined interior. Ring turned legs ending with a spike foot. Inside case side marked with chalk, "W. Wright". 25 1/2" H x 23 1/4" W x 12 1/2" D. Circa 1825. Provenance: the estate of Bertha Cochran Wright, ex-Calumet Farm, Lexington, KY.
Condition:
Older refinish. left drawer support for lower drawer replaced, drawer supports for upper center drawer replaced, wear to drawer sides, copper fitting of humidor to lower drawer probably early 20th century, some minor breaks to cockbeaded edges of drawers.

Kentucky cherry sugar chest, tall form with hinged top, open interior with center divider and two small dovetailed drawers, laminated cherry façade with diamond geometric pattern over single long drawer on turned legs, 19th century, 36-3/4 x 29 x 16-1/2 in. Refinished throughout with resurfacing and some restoration to primary and secondary surfaces, some rebuilding to drawer secondary, top has been off and resurfaced with small area of fill, replaced hinges and lock, one small backboard replaced, normal cracks and separations, patches and other restorations to drawer secondary.

TN HEPPLEWHITE SUGAR CHEST, RESTOREDMiddle Tennessee walnut Hepplewhite sugar chest with extensive restorations, possibly assembled from other elements. Sugar chest consisting of a dovetailed top case with an open well above a dovetailed lower drawer, supported by square tapered legs. Poplar secondary. 34" H x 22"W x 15 5/8" D. Circa 1820. Note within states Annette Anderson Sneed of Nashville, TN acquired this in the area in the 1930s.
Condition:
Top with strip added, replaced hinges, back of upper case replaced, an early 20th century tray has been fitted for the interior. Upper section bottom panel has been modified with contemporary bracing, lower case back appears to have been flipped and modified, contemporary internal bracing added to base, older brasses but not original, separation to case on left lower divider.
