An early Coalport porcelain covered tureen. Circa late 18th/early 19th century. On four scrolled feet decorated in a cobalt blue underglaze with a hand painted floral Imari style pattern and gilt highlights. Unmarked. Crown finial with figural handles in the form of a face. Condition: large hairline to lid which has been reinforced with glue from underside chip to rim of lid minor wear to paint and gilt see images. Measures 10.75'' tall x 13.75'' wide. Shipping weight 5.3 lbs.
