Vestiges of a faded floral design on both sides. Seam separations, scattered cracks and nicks. Interior back with long vertical split with old repair, scattered holes where the clock was fixed to the wall. No pendulum, weights or winder. Cambro / London" and with strike/silent lever above, the eight day five pillar movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, the case decorated throughout with Chinoiserie vignettes on a faux tortoiseshell ground and with an arched door having an applied New York dealer's label for "Hennor's etc." the decoration refreshed, the works possibly associated, repairs, restorations. 96" H x 20" W x 10" D. Note: D. Cambro is recorded as a member of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers, and several examples of his verge watches from the mid-18th century have come to market.
