JAPANESE BIZN BRONZE CAST TIGER FIGURE ,MEIJI P. A Japanese Bizen bronze cast tiger figure, dating from the Meiji period. The deep copper color of the Bizen pottery creates a bronze like effect. The fierce tiger reclines on its hindquarters and has massive front paws stretched out, with its head raised and sharp teeth bared. Incised lines to give the impression of stripes on the tiger.

Condition: good condition overall for age and use. Small oval incised stamp on the base.
