A CHINESE TANG DYNASTY POTTERY HORSE A Chinese Tang dynasty pottery horse, the stately proportioned horse standing four-square on a rectangular base, the head naturalistically rendered with flared nostrils and large eyes, covered overall in ochre and straw glaze except the the carefully modeled saddle and partial of the plinth, with later added tail and mane (attached to a plexiglass base, one side of the saddle inscribed with '[yi] tai qu' characters, small chips, possible retouch/repair), 20" height of horse excluding plexiglass base.
