Edwardian Cased Milne Patent
Edwardian Cased Milne Patent Champagne Tap, first quarter 20th century, the nickel-plated brass tap complete with both points and presented in the original teardrop-shaped, satin- and velvet-lined case, overall l. 4-3/4". The champagne tap was a device used to pierce the cork on a bottle of champagne (or other carbonated beverage) and create a pouring spout. The detachable points used to insert the screw-type spout would fall to the bottom of the bottle for later retrieval; taps which retain the points are rare.

TAPPIT.Tappit. Holland: Eddy Taytelbaum, 1960s. A spectator silently spells out a number chosen from a plaque as the performer taps six overturned tiles in succession with a wand. When the spectator completes the spelling and instructs the performer to stop, the wand lands on the tile bearing the chosen number. Plastic; tiles ¾” square; wand and plaque approx. 2”. Very good. Unique; from the Rinkhuysen collection.
