Delicate thin pointed spout and handle, with thin slightly rounder lit with natural finial. A short and wide hand painted teapot with short foot, and with a red square Chinese stamp on the base.

Very finely carved antique Chinese, Qing dynasty jade teapot with rare and even yellow coloration throughout; the body in the form of a phoenix bird terminating in an elaborately carved spout with open beak and twin fold foliate tail, carved deeply with large key fret repeating designs supported by three Tai Tao Tien masks terminating in claw like feet, the phoenix head and tail each supporting three loose rings ending in crossover handle; additionally incised with carvings, the cover of domed shallow relief with spiraling knots bordering a finial in the form of a horned dragon turtle in fighting stance with raised trifold tail and open mouth; completed with extremely elaborate two tiered wood base with openwork carving supporting an overlapping bridge holding chain; Without Stand L 6" x H 6" (Approx.)
