Unusual Japanese bowl, gray clay body with moriage lohan and mountains overlaid with an openwork and highly figured cave, tiger at the entrance, interior with gilt clouds and vines, late 19th/early 20th century, 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 in. Repaired fork-shaped rim crack with some losses, other minor losses including small area at cave opening, 1/2 in. area of loss on rock face, minor firing cracks in applied elements.
