H18'' Provenance: Estate of Irl Paul & Barbara Middleton Atlanta Georgia. Other Notes: Near identical timepiece sold Christie's-London 22 July 2008 Lot 181. Appears to be all intact and in good original condition with minor scuffing to base; clock is working in gallery but we are unsure how to wind piece; we do not guarantee clocks to work once they have left the gallery.

J.C. COX ENGLISH GOLD CHANGER & TILL.J.C. Cox English Gold Changer & Till. London, ca. 1895. Coins are inserted into slots in the top of the center section of the till, and movement of the lever from side to side causes the coins to make their way into the drawer, a bell ringing at each step. The racks at the side have a glass back; it’s thought that these were used to stack counted coins. Glass is cracked and part of porcelain plaque missing. Not tested. 25 ½ x 16 x 8”.
