As manager of the Hollywood Stars of the Pacific Coast League, Haney was presented this oversized bat as appreciation for his successful tenure upon his promotion to the Stars’ parent club, the Pittsburgh Pirates. Later, Haney would manage the Milwaukee Braves to their only two National League Pennants and lone World Series Championship.
