Condition:
Lacking hammer, as stated. With an overall deep even patina. Figure nicely modeled. Marble not included in height listed. Height of marble 3 1/4in. Height overall 41in. General marks, scratches, rubbing and wear. Wiring should be checked by a qualified electrician prior to use.

Very good condition with minor foxing. 7 1/4" x 5". This scarce volume is the first English language adventure novel set in Africa. The book bears several indications that it is the very first issue of the first edition. There are three errors that were later corrected after the publication of 2,000 copies. The errors that indicate a first edition are the word "Bamamgwato" on page 10, line 14, "to let twins live" on page 122, line 27, and "wodr" rather than "word" in the footnote on page 307, line 5. It also includes a pull-out map to the mine.
