Southern blue-painted table, fine proportions, yellow pine throughout with birch drawer front, single drawer and tapered square legs, traces of blue/green paint overall, possibly Georgia, 19th century, 30-1/2 x 23 x 20-1/2 in. Patches and repairs two corners of top, paint surface scraped down(?) and possibly enhanced, other normal surface cracks and wear, one drawer side replaced.

Georgia blue-painted tavern table, walnut or birch with three-board scrubbed top, blue-painted base with molded square legs and box stretcher, attributed to Georgia, late 18th/early 19th century, 27-1/4 x 51 x 36-1/2 in. Top lacking central batten and with multiple nail scars, base with probably original blue paint, extensive wear and abrasions overall, some possible loss of height. Griffin notes that it was "found on back porch of black family home in Elbert County, Georgia; purchased from Billy Allen, Commerce, Georgia, November 1980".
