Georgia yellow pine table, yellow pine throughout with traces of green paint, circular top on square skirt, tall tapered legs, 19th century, 31 x 33-3/4 x 33-3/4 in. Refinished with traces of green paint, normal wear and shrinkage separations. Griffin notes this table was "found at a Greek Revival house on right of Highway 16 just beyond Turin, Georgia, going from Newnan to Griffin; purchased from Hayes Gilliam, March 1981".

Georgia yellow pine table, two-board top, tapered square legs, brown paint scraped down to earlier red/orange, skirt and leg with traces of yellow vine and leaf decoration, 30-1/2 x 34-1/2 x 29 in. Two legs left unscraped, wear and separations consistent with age and use, paint possibly later. Griffin notes that this table is "from Mamie Cleveland Estate, Elbert County, Georgia; purchased from Charlotte Rollins, Greer, South Carolina, July 1976".

Southern blue-painted table, fine proportions, yellow pine throughout with birch drawer front, single drawer and tapered square legs, traces of blue/green paint overall, possibly Georgia, 19th century, 30-1/2 x 23 x 20-1/2 in. Patches and repairs two corners of top, paint surface scraped down(?) and possibly enhanced, other normal surface cracks and wear, one drawer side replaced.

Georgia painted pie safe, yellow pine throughout, 12 punched tins with basket and foliage centering a star (appear to be undisturbed), mustard-brown painted surface over earlier blue(?), attributed to Georgia, 19th century, 48 x 39 x 17 in. Top and sides with scraped surface, hinges replaced with some associated breaks and losses, tins in good repair overall with some rust and corrosion (two side tins dented), normal surface cracks and wear throughout. Griffin notes record that it was "purchased from Martha Smith of Forest Park, Georgia, June 1980".

Drawer fronts cleaned and lacking one knob, early strip patch at back of top, other normal shrinkage and warping, surface scratches and abrasions, some elements retaining early dark varnished surface. A hidden drawer on backside is a late 19th/early 20th century addition. 28 7/8"H x 25"W x 13 5/8"D. Mid 19th century. 2nd item - Small yellow pine dovetailed storage or wagon box retaining an old iron strap latch, lid with battons underside on each side. 9"H x 18"W x 9 3/8"D. Second quarter of the 19th century. Provenance: Blount County, TN Living Estate.
Condition:
1st item - older refinish, old insect damage evidence in a few areas to legs, back apron with separation on one side, top with minor warpage. 2nd item - rear hinges for lid have been broken.

Condition:
Remnants of holes on one side of table indicate a lid for the form at one time, additional contemporary brackets to underside of marble for additional support of weight, top of marble and surrounding wood surface with dirt and grime.
