TAINO, A RARE ZEMI PROTOTYPE WITH THREE HEADS.The front and top heads are anthropic, while the head at the rear is zoomorphic. The "cone" head followed the Taino design module for Yucahu, primary god of planting. Other 2 are probably spiritual in-laws. Base is flat and cupped. Made of andesite. 5 1/2" high, approx. 11 1/4" long, 3" wide. From the Taino culture of the Greater Antilles. Provenance: Carrada Collection. Coauthor of Taino Hallucinogenic Implements Inhaling the Cosmic Dust". Dominican Republic. Pre-Colombian.
