This was one of the two machines used there for the plant employees. Unconditionally guaranteed to be from the Monticello Dairy plant, Charlottesville, Virginia. It was retired in 1980. This type of machine was based on the 1888 patent of physician Alezander Dey. The name plate displays "Manufactured By International Business Machines Corp., International Time Recording Div., Endicott, N. Y." There are 7 patent dates, from July 11, 1911 to Mar. 7, 1916. Shows Model No. 6400-5, and "REC 3*** The clock drive otor says it is a "Warren Telechron Co., Serial #195712A".
