  J. STEVENS TIP-UP RIFLE. Caliber .32 rimfire 26'' round to octagonal barrel Vernier-style rear and flip up brass front sight. Stock is a nice figural walnut and butt plate of nickel-plated crescent variety. S/n 18475. Clean bore great rifling and smooth action. Barrel blue is fading to plum only a few minor dings. Company name and patent on barrel start firm but fades out at patent date (year not legibel). Sn. under frame on left side of barrel and on lower tang at butt end (spot plating loss at this corner around Sn.). Model number not marked. Still a fine example of this gun with lots of extras.

Clean bore superb rifling smooth tight action. The finish lettering and bluing are all excellent. The stock does show some light scratches and has been notched numerous times behind the upper tang at the elbow of the stock.

• TRADITIONS 'LIGHTNING'
  TRADITIONS 'LIGHTNING' BLACKPOWDER RIFLE, .50 CAL An inline, bolt-action black powder rifle manufactured in Spain and imported by Traditions of Connecticut. The rifle features a silver matte finish to the fluted barrel, frame, bolt and scope, mounted in a laminate wood stock with a cheek riser and rubber buttpad. The rifle has been mounted with a Tasco "World Class PLUS" scope with a variable zoom from 3X-9X magnification with a simple duplex crosshair. The scope is mounted on see-through scope rings which allow for use of the iron sights which are a simple U-notch rear with a barley corn front post. Different from most inlines, this rifle uses a traditional percussion cap nipple sized for musket caps. The rifle is in excellent condition overall with no corrosion visible to the chamber or rifling, which is marked as having a 1:32" twist rate.

V P and Eagle head left side of barrel very clear. Eagle and US Springfield and 1883 slightly worn. Leather sheath for bayonet stamped US. brass 'US'' on belt clip. Leather is dry but not brittle. A nice looking combination.
