Inset brass plaque reads "Toulmin & Gale Makers, London", and impressed English Registry mark within indicates November 1869 manufacture. Lacking one peg marker for the cribbage board; red tooled leather is very worn; the exterior veneer has several cracks, longest of which is approximately 8" at the back side of the lid; small area of veneer loss at the side of the lid and several repairs to the veneer at the front and corners.
