The double handled gold accented having white field with hand painted colorful roses on pedestal base. Height 23.50''. Blue crossed swords mark underfoot. c. late 19th-early 20th century. The custom plinth with brass tag reading ''Zell Bros. Perpetual Sweepstakes Trophy Portland Rose Society''. The urn is in very good condition with a small amount of gilding loss and no visible chips or repairs. The plinth shows cracking and the paint is chipping.
