  JAPANESE ARISAKA TYPE 38 RIFLE 6.5 X 50MMJapanese Arisaka Type 38 bolt action rifle. Serial # 663374. Rifle appears to have Koishikawa (Tokyo, Japan) arsenal markings with no series number visible. "B" barrel proof mark. Barrel measures approx. 31 1/2", 50 1/2" overall length. The Typerifle was used by the Empire of Japan predominantly during the Second Sino-Japanese War and Second World War. The design was adopted by the Imperial Japanese Army in 1905 (the 38th year of the Meiji period, hence "Type 38"). Age appropriate wear to stock and finish including oxidation and finish loss.
