Pistol was government issued during the Civil War, and retains a faint cartouche on the grips, and stamps on the metal. The finish is good as re-finished. Mechanically the gun is excellent. Overall mottled patina with traces of ble smooth action (though it misfires once about every 3 to 5 times) damage to grips appears to have had the ejector and housing removed.
