CHELSEA US NAVY SHIPS CLOCK, PURPORTEDLY FROM USS ENTERPRISE WWII Era Brass Cased Chelsea Bulkhead Clock, sn 294221, circa 1940, with 8-day time only movement (with key), 8" diam. brass face with secondary seconds dial marked "US Navy" and "Chelsea Clock Co., Boston, U.S.A.", fast/slow adjustment, 10 1/4" diam., 2 3/4" high. Case surface wear. The USS Enterprise was the most decorated U.S. ship of WWII.

U.S.Navy Ships Clock U.S.Navy E.Howard & Co. Boston U.S.A. ships clock (time-only)-cast bronze circa 1940. Edward Howard (1813-1904) apprenticed to Arron Willard Jr. at an early age. He was a mechanical genius and received the best training from Willard. In 1842 he made clocks in a small factory at Roxbury Connecticut; the name was Howard and Davis. In 1854 he made watches under the name of Dennison Howard and Davis. The Howard Watch Company later became the Waltham Watch Company.
