JOHN'S GATE / PORTE ST. JEAN' (heavily crazed), measuring 2.5" high x 11.75" wide x 9.5" deep. Both stamped with Quebec retailer marks F.T. Thomas.

Condition
Minor wear overall. Some rubbing to the gilt edges and losses to the decoration. The serving bowl with a chip to the foot. One vegetable tureen with a hairline crack to the base and a chip to the rim of the cover. The soup tureen is restored, the cover is associated. The smallest oval tray has been broken and reglued. One mid size tray with a rim chip, the largest has been broken and reglued. Two soup plates with a rim chips and associated cracks. Two plates with foot chips, one with a hairline crack to the foot, one with a rim chip.Not withstanding this report or any discussion concerning condition of a lot, all lots are offered and sold "as is" in accordance with our conditions of sale.

IMPRESSIVE FROMENT-MEURICE SILVER SET IN CASE. Froment-Meurice Parisian mid-nineteenth century sterling and plated silver vegetable set, including: two sterling vegetable tureens, with liners, with artichoke and broccoli finials, stamped underneath, with French silver hallmark on base and liner, 11.5”W x 6”H; double-sided sterling gravy with hallmarks, 6.5”H x 9.75”W; four silver plated warming stands, all pieces stamped Froment-Meurice, two oval 17”L x 11” x 5”H, and two round 10.5” dia. x 5”H. All pieces with engraved griffon. In original fitted oak box, lock plate engraved “Froment-Meurice, 372 Rue St. Honoré, Paris.” Engraved griffon plaque on lid, with key. Box 29.25”L x 16”W x 21”H.
