ONE VELVET COVERED BOX HAS A SHELL-LIKE CERAMIC AT THE TOP WHICH IS PAINTED WITH A SCENE, IT CONTAINS TWO BOTTLES AND A SMALLER METAL BOX (THE BOTTLES HAVE SINCE SPILLED AND THERE IS A STAIN INSIDE). THE LARGEST OF THE VELVET BOXES IS SCALLOP SHAPED AND HAS A METAL FLOWER ON THE TOP. OPENING IT UP REVEALS A SILK INTERIOR FITTED WITH COMPARTMENTS FOR THE BONE AND SILVER OVERLAY LADY’S TOILETTE SET AND TOOLS. ANOTHER VELVET COVERED BOX ALSO FEATURES DECORATED CELLULOID PANELS, AND INSIDE IS LINED IN PINK SILK. INSOFAR AS TOOLS GO, IT IS FAIRLY SCARCE WITH ABOUT ONLY 4 LEFT, BUT IT HAS TWO 1890S BROADWAY TRADING CARDS. THE FINAL VELVET BOX ALSO CONTAINED A FITTED, SILK LINED INTERIOR, BUT CONTAINS BOTTLES FOR PERFUMES AND OTHER LATE VICTORIAN LADY’S TOILETTE COSMETICS AND WATERS. THERE IS SOME REMAINING IN THE BOTTLES, BUT THEY HAVE MOSTLY BEEN USED/EVAPORATED. THE REPTILE SKIN KIT’S CLASP IS BROKEN, BUT IT CONTAINS A TOOTHBRUSH, COLOGNE BOTTLE, BRUSH, ETC., AND PROBABLY WAS A MAN’S. FINALLY, THE WOODEN BOX CONTAINING THE SEWING IMPLEMENTS ALSO HOLDS FABRIC SCRAPS AND SMALL LENGTHS OF RIBBON.
