WALKING STICK, CARVED IVORY MONKEYS HANDLEThis heavy 34" walking stick/cane is made of dark-colored wood, with a large 5" long carved piece of ivory serving as a handle.The carving is of 3 monkeys. There are several words carved on the side in what appears to be Chinese. There is a 3/4" wide metal collar under the monkeys stamped with a maker's logo and "9 ct" for 9-karat gold. Near the tip of the cane is a 1/2" wide collar, unstamped, of metal that looks much like the 9-K band at the top. Victorian, fine condition, with small, short longitudinal old age crack near base of the carving. PLEASE NOTE: This is antique, pre-ban African elephant ivory and can be shipped only where allowed by law.
